Volunteer for a Committee

One of the best ways to realize a return on your membership investment is to get involved by joining a committee. Opportunities vary in interest and in time commitment. Take a look at what we have to offer and join a committee today.

NOTE: Volunteering for the chapter is limited to those who are members of MPI.

Gala Committee
  - On-site volunteers are needed for this event on Monday, June 3, 2013.  All volunteers must be registered to attend Gala.  CLICK HERE to register for Gala online by Tuesday, May 28.

Role: Greeters (1-2 per shift)
Description: Greet guests as they arrive- let them know the flow for the evening. Assist them with finding their registration badge

Role: Coat Check (1-2 per shift)
Description: Take and return coats to attendees

Role: Auction Helpers (1-2 per shift)
Description: Assist with the silent auction as needed

Role: Auction Device Explainers (1-2 per shift)
Description:  Assist at the IML device table to help explain how to use silent auction device

Role: Auction Item Distribution (1-2 per shift)
Description: Assist with auction item distribution and checkout

MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION COMMITTEE (3-4 people):
This committee needs help with making monthly calls to recruit new members and remind the current members that they are a valuable part of our community.  Estimated time commitment is 1 hour a month to generate emails and make calls.

SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE:
Raffle Ticket Sellers (2 people): Arrive early at Professional Education Programs and pick-up baskets, tickets and instructions.  Approach reception guests and sell raffle tickets to them, then turn baskets, leftover tickets and proceeds over to MPINCC staff at conclusion of the event.

Sponsorship Research (2 people): Targeted web research of specified organizations (possibly some phone calls as well).  Help uncover pricing model for sponsorships and other marketing opportunities w/in that organization and chart out the pricing & report findings back to Sponsorship Committee. Estimated time commitment is 1 hour per week till project is completed.
