Our strong and vibrant MPI Chapter relies on continued service from our dedicated volunteers to allow us to deliver high-level results to our members. The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for nominations for officers and directors to serve on the MPINCC 2018-2019 Board of Directors. Among the many benefits include:

• Opportunity to gain experience in managing volunteers, budgets, and projects
• Meeting and networking with other Chapter leaders throughout the world

The following positions are currently available for 2018-2019:
• One (1) President-Elect: One-year term, with automatic succession to President for the 2019-2020 term.
• Six (6) Vice Presidents: One-year term.
• Seven (7) Directors: One-year term.

Criteria Considered by Nominating Committee:
• Leadership and management experience;
• Written responses to questions posed in this application;
• In-person interviews for President-Elect candidates;
• Other considerations that indicate that a candidate is uniquely qualified to serve on the Board of Directors.

Qualifications and Eligibility:
• Be an active member of MPI for a minimum of 1 year;
• Be a member in good standing;
• Be willing to fulfill the obligations of office, in the capacity indicated;
• Have a history of involvement, accomplishment and dependable service to MPI and/or the chapter;
• Be willing to contribute time, energy and creativity to the chapter with written consent of your employer;
• Attend two (2) 1 ½ day Leadership Retreat weekends per year (Annual Leadership Retreat, April or May 2018) and Mid-Year Leadership Retreat, January 2019) and six (6) Board of Directors Meetings (allowed to miss one board meeting);
• Select Officers are asked to attend the MPI Chapter Business Summit in Dallas, Texas, held approximately early April 2018;
• At no time may two members of the same organization serve concurrently, except where approved by 2/3 majority vote of the BOD;
• Student members do not qualify unless appointed by the President and approved by 2/3 majority vote of the BOD.

The Nominations Committee selects and places Officers in specific roles, appoints Directors by name, and presents the entire slate to the 2017-2018 Board of Directors for approval. Chapter membership is then given a 30-day window in which to contest only those appointed as Directors. If uncontested, the slate is submitted to MPI Global by the March 1, 2018 deadline.
